“Hearsay is wonderful! Food is imaginative, and always well prepared. The restaurant itself is lovely and cozy, but there is nothing quite so magical as a summer evening in their garden.”
When you step through Hearsay’s doors, you’ll be treated to an experience you won’t soon forget. And, as our name implies, we hope you’ll tell your friends about us, too.

Craft cocktails are the best in Ashland
The food is delightful, and the craft cocktails are the best in Ashland. Most beautiful decor and lovely garden seating.

Hearsay was such a treat
Hearsay was such a treat! …. The garden feels like a beautiful oasis. It’s such a pleasant spot to eat a yummy meal. The drinks all looked like they were prepared with a lot of love. The scallops, though small were delicious. All of our food was really good. We were pleasantly surprised by this sweet place.

Everyone in our party was happy
If you are in Ashland, OR, come here for a fantastic meal! Cocktails, starters, entrees, and ambiance. We had the clam linguini, roasted duck, and the hamburger. They dealt with our dietary needs and were on spot with the service. Everyone in our party was happy!

Live piano music was a treat
Food was delicious, servers were great, and the atmosphere with live piano music was a treat.

This place is beautiful
This place is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The attention to detail in the decor is a pure delight. Can’t wait to go back!

Nothing quite so magical as a summer evening in their garden
Hearsay is wonderful! Food is imaginative, and always well prepared. The restaurant itself is lovely and cozy, but there is nothing quite so magical as a summer evening in their garden.

Atmosphere was lively and fun
We came in for appetizers on New Years Eve and were blown away by this place. Decorated mostly Art Deco, the atmosphere was lively and fun…. We will be coming back for a full blown dinner very soon. You need to try this place, really. Really.

Transport yourself to the 20s
Transport yourself to the 20s, think speakeasy. This restaurant takes you back. The jazz big band creates the atmosphere to take you away. Drinks awesome. The fried artichoke appetizer is a must. I had the appetizer scallops and my partner the Buddha bowl, both light up your tongue to interesting palettes of flavor. I ordered the fresh pea soup with the special honey wheat bread, which was totally awesome.

Simply outstanding
I am a local and have been to Hearsay many times over the past few years. The service, quality of food, and drinks are simply outstanding! With so many restaurant choices in Ashland, Hearsay is my go-to establishment for a brunch with friends, business lunch, or romantic dinner. A lovely garden at the back of the speakeasy decorated restaurant is a romantic hidden gem, and the piano inside a lovely focal point for evening entertainment.

A “must visit” for our small group
We have visited Ashland 2-3 times a year for many years, and each visit includes a dinner at Hearsay. It’s definitely a preferred restaurant, and between the quality of the food and its proximity to the theaters is a “must visit” for our small group.
